Maple Leaf Rag

Scott Joplin is famous for his wonderful ragtime music. Two of the most famous of his works are the Entertainer and the Maple Leaf Rag. This is an accordion arrangement of the latter.

The accordion arrangement has been carefully made. At the same time, it is not comfortable for accordionists; on the other hand, it still respects the bass lines crafted by Mr. Joplin. If some ground bass lines feel too difficult, you can just follow the chords given above the staff and play bass in a simpler way.

This product is also a part of the Scott Joplin Ragtime sheet music bundle.

The original work by Joplin is in A-flat major key – and the trio movement in D-flat major. This makes it very tricky especially for accordion. So we transposed this to F-major (the trio movement in Bb major), which is much nicer to play. However, you can choose, because you get two scores for the price of one: one in the original key, one in F major! Please note that to prevent privacy, our preview images do not show every page of both versions.

ps. Did you know that the song title comes from the Maple Leaf Club in Sedalia, Missouri. Joplin used to work there in 1890s.
